Onyango praises Buganda Prime Minister for the success

Former Uganda Cranes captain and goalkeeper Denis Onyango has taken it upon to himself to give a word of thanks to the Katikiro of Buganda Kingdom Charles Peter Mayiga for the love and support he extended to him and the entire Cranes team during the 16 years the sundowns custodian has been part of the cranes set up.

From the post from his official facebook account written in Luganda (Native Language),  Onyanga revealed that Katikiro had supported him in public and he will be a living testament for the rest of his life.

The Katikiro also went on to his twitter handle and expressed sadness at Onyango and Wasswa’s retirement, but thanked them for the joy they brought to the nation as major pillars in the team. 

The long serving Cranes goalkeeper who retired from the national team early this week went ahead to bless the new generation for the challenge. He is expected to have a cup of tea with the Katikkiro in the near future.
