Result: Kiryandongo United 2-1 Kirasa United.

Kiryandongo United finally registered their first win of the 2022/23 Kitara Regional League (Albert Group) season  after a 2-1 home score line against Kirasa United in the game played at Kiryandongo c.o.u play ground on Sunday 18th of December.

Captain Opio Allan scored all the two important goals for the Kiryandongo based side coming in the 25th and 39th minutes.

The Greens (Kiryandongo United) lost the three opening matches against Bujumbura United 5-1, Bugoigo Leopards FC 2-1 and Dove FC 4-1.

They sit 11th on the 13 team league table with three points, scored six goals and conceded nine.

For the visitors Kirasa United, striker Kasamba Gerald commonly known as Tembeya pulled one in the second stanza.

This was the first time Akenda Ali coached side has tested defeat having won one (3-1 over Blue Star Mugarana FC) and drawn one (1-1 Jeeja FC).

More so, they have picked one point from the possible six in the two games played away from home 

The Masindi side remain at six points got from three games, 7th on the table, scored five goals and Conceded four in the process.

Kiryandongo United travel to Kagadi United on Sunday 1st of January 2023 on the same day Kirasa United at home welcome Bugoigo Leopards FC in their next fixtures.
