Orange BlockBusters Volleyball Club unveils new players

ational volleyball serie A league club Orange BlockBusters (OBB) unveiled its new playing staff and team coach at a press conference held at the Shukuran Complex in Busoga.

During the unveiling of the new players, club President Muhammad Musilim echoed the need to be the best volleyball team in Africa as the reason as to why the club has made this latest acquisitions.

New club head coach Mr. Onykani Lawrence promised to take the club to international standards and asked for better co-operation between the players and management. The former coach of Rwandese Volleyball club Gisagara VC is rated among the best in East and Central Africa.

The last 5 years have seen the club compete in competitive volleyball where it has reached national standards. Now with a lot of investments coming from it’s lead sponsor Shukuran Real Estates, the club wants to move a step further to challenge for continental honors.

Club director and National Volleyball Association vice President Mr. Kigundu Ahmed who was in attendance promised to promote the game in Busoga region and indicated that the Shukuran Camp center will be ready for use and host games at all levels before September this year.

Among those signed include;

·         Attama Davis (Rwandan) from Rwanda Energy group

·         Ellaija Cosmas from Wazeyi VC (Fort portal)

·         Hussein Adom Juma from Nkumba University

·         Jimmy Kakuru from Mbarara University

·         Kimera Rajabu from Ndejje University·         Silva Modech Atta (Sudanese) from Nkumba University.
