By Ali Mutanje

The Black Pirates went into the game knowing a win would propel them back into the title chase.

Haruna Mohammed put his name on the scoresheet to put the Pirates into an early lead. By halftime the score was 37-03 thanks to tries from Mugisha, Emanzi Raymond, Alul Stephen and Kisiga Timothy.

In the second half, the Pirates started from where they stopped doubling their score to 61 with Humphrey Tashobya and Ivan Magomu playing an impressive game

The win means Pirates remain third but close the gap on Heathens who lost to the table toppers Kobs this evening.

This means that they will aim to beat Kobs in their next meeting to really blow the title challenge open.
