Today at MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo in Kampala two teams KCCA and Police FC tussled it out in game week 23 of the Uganda Premier League. The two teams were all looking to bounce back to winning ways after threads of back to back poor performances.
With all these at the back of their mind at the start of first half, they were all very cautious in going forward and defending each other’s threat. Because of this agility in defending, the first half finished 0:0 between the two sides.
Second half then started at MTN Omondi Lugogo, with all still left to play for and it was only going to get tighter and tighter as they struggled all evening to break each other’s defensive setting in the match.
With the two teams exhibiting solidity in defending each other’s attacking, and with growing frustration characterizing their entire games, they finally managed to settle at 0:0 when the referee blew the final whistle at the end of 90 minutes. This result put KCCA in fourth position with 38 points, whereas Police FC also maintained their 5th position on the 16 log table with the same points as KCCA who have a superior goal difference. If any change happens between the two sides, it will probably come in game week 24, when Police are hosted by table leaders URA and KCCA host relegation side Kyetume FC.
