Police FC today hosted Bright Stars in the round of 16 of the Uganda Cup coming from the back of a 3-1 defeat to Wakiso Giants in the League during Midweek. It was going to be tough for Bright stars to try and tame the wounded lion on a day like Sunday, as they suffered the wrath of Ben Ocen’s brace. Ocen and Yusuf Ssozi scored the goals that killed the game for Bright stars in the first half, and even though Bright Stars leveled the game in the 16 minutes at 1-1, police FC were too strong as they scored two more to reach the halftime break leading 3-1.The second half exhibited some dull moments, with Bright Stars succumbing to their fate early on in the game, but a moment of magic happened for police FC again in the 76th minute as the second half substitute Derrick Kakooza scored another goal to extend their lead in the game to 4-1. It took him only two minutes to make his presence felt in the game with a booted goal from an acute angle. The game then ended 4-1 in favor of Police FC who now have one foot into the quarter final of this competition, thanks to their three goal advantage.
