The 5 time league winners suffered their 5th defeat of the season in as many games on Saturday against UPDF Tomahawks 82-70.

They now lie at the foot of the table with Falcons who are yet to register a win in four also looking down on them.

Power fell behind UPDF in the first quarter at 26-15.

Even with Amis Saidi making 16 points for Power, it was not enough to overcome the inspired Tomahawks who controlled most of the 2nd quarter on both ends of the court.

Moses Muhumuza and Bernard Okumu who had 19, 12 points respectively helped the soldiers assume a nine point lead heading into the 4th quarter.

Power committed 31 turnovers highlighting their loose play on the night. Nasser Guddi’s (15 points and 11 rebounds) energy off the bench was not enough to save the giants as they missed plenty of layups on the break.

Kisilu Salim barely shot and defensive frailties showed with first timer Robert Tasire committing too much.

Power missed 34 free throws with Saidi managing 0 in 11 attempts, Guddi only turning 4 out of 11 and Tasire misplacing 8 out of 11.

Next Sunday power is up against a hurt Nam Blazers side. As both teams look to light up their season.
