The organizing committee for the Safari Rally Kenya 2021 has restricted the number of attendees each team is supposed to have during the event which will be held from 24th June, 2021 – 27th June, 2021.
This is in line with reference to App. VI of the 2021 FIA WRC sporting Regulations and Art. 4.4.2 of the Supplementary Regulations. The stakeholder’s list should also include the crews, that is to say the drivers and co-drivers.
The stakeholders are required to email the attendee list and attendees commitment forms not later than 5:00 PM CET on 17th June, 2021 to covid19@safarirally.co.ke and cc to covid19_WRC@fia.com.
Each stakeholder is required to fill in a stakeholder’s attendee list where they will be required to name those whom they would prefer to gain access to the rally HQ or service park (High Density Areas). No one will be allowed access to the High Density Area if they are not on the stakeholder’s list.
Uganda will be represented by Ronald Ssebuguzi/ Anthony Mugambwa, Duncan Mubiru/Musa Nsubuga, Hassan Akwi/James Mwangi, Walubi Kephah/Siraji Kyambadde and Ysain Nasser/ Ali Katumba. The Ugandan contingent is set to travel to Kenya on 21st June, 2021 and return on 29th June, 2021.
The organisers went ahead to inform stakeholders who had previously submitted the attendees list during the previous events to also resubmit. All new attendees will be required to sign a commitment form.
The stakeholders must include the following in the attendee list;
· Attendees should be displayed in black text (John Smith) including their designations
· Indicate in bold and green any new or additional attendees
· Retain the names of any attendees nominated for the previous events that will not be given access to the venue of the Safari Rally Kenya.
The stakeholders were further cautioned to provide the information and documentation to FIA and the organisers of the Safari rally as described in article 6.5 of the COVID-19 code of conduct.
