The second Redball four day match resumed today Monday 26th December 2022 at Jinja SS Cricket Oval in Jinja City with Itanda taking on Busowoko. Itanda came to today’s match with a 1-0 lead.

Itanda won the toss and opted to bat first against Busowoko with a few players turning up with the bat to help the team reach 238/10 in 68.2 overs.

Despite Wankona Jimson facing a handful of balls, his partnership with Kawanguzi Timothy didn’t last as he was dismissed for 1 run off 19 balls.

Kawanguzi Timothy and Wabwose Steven stepped up for Itanda with a 72 run partnership between them but each had an individual contribution of 44 runs off 75 balls and 51 runs off 90 balls respectively to give Itanda a fresh start.

But once the pair was lost, Itanda started to face hardships of finding a pair to try and score runs for them.

It was more of trying and finishing up the overs for the remaining batters as most of them barely scored runs.

Agaba Eddy, Waiswa Kenneth and Igulu Cyprus were the bowlers who ran the show as each registered figures of 3/107 in 33 overs, 2/35 in 10 overs and 2/ 22 in 4.2 overs to help Busowoko limit Itanda to 238/10.

Busowoko is currently facing hardships to find a perfect partnership that can yield better results with Aaron Kusasira  being the main man to withstand the rapid fall of wickets.

There will be a lot to play for on the second day of second Redball Four Day Match with Busowoko trailing by 199 runs.
