Malaba based MYDA FC today hosted SC Villa in the second game of the game week 16 of the Uganda Premier League today.
Two first half goals from Muhammed Senoga and Derrick Ndahiiro ensured that SC Villa completed a league double over Malaba Youth Development Association footbal clubl.
SC Villa scored their opening goal just six minutes into the game after MYDA FC goalkeeper failed to clear a cross from the left by Ndahiiro. Senoga was well placed to tap in from close range giving his side a 1:0 lead early in the game.
With only a few minutes remaining for halftime to come to a close, SC Villa left footed attacker Ndahiiro made it 2:0 to put the game away from the home team.
After missing their penalty in the first half, Amos Kirya got one back for MYDA in the 75th minute with a well taken goal that restored the home side’s momentum to fight for a draw. But SC Villa was strong enough to hold on to their 1 goal advantage and 90 minutes ended with Villa winning the day 2:1.
This is SC Villa’s 7th win of the season and took them to 26 points, climbing to the 5th position after 16 games played, whereas MYDA FC remain with seven points after playing 16 games and losing 11 this season.
