A stellar performance by the She Cranes’ captain Stella Oyella earned the Uganda netball team a 59 : 30 win against Namibia. The result means that the cranes remain second on the table with 4 points.

Stella put on a player-of-the-match performance to inspire the She Cranes to their second win of the SPAR netball challenge with Shadiah Nassanga converting 37 out of 42 chances while compatriot Irene Eyaru converted 22 out of 23.

The Namibians were determined to get revenge after losing their first encounter against the Ugandans. They held on for a 9 : 9 draw by the end of the first quarter. The She Cranes however had different ideas as they boldly played on for a second quarter winning scoreline of 26 : 17.

The Ugandans piled more pressure on the Namibians in the 3rd quarter with the score at 43 : 22 before finally sealing off the day with a 59 : 30 win at the end of the game.

Uganda had a shooting accuracy of 90.7% (59/65) while the Namibians had shooting accuracy of 88.2% (30/34).

The She Cranes will again be up against South Africa later in the day.
