Itanda 175/4 in 90 overs

The third and final four day Redball match returned on 2nd January 2023 at Jinja SS cricket oval in Jinja City with Busowoko taking on Itanda.

Just as it has been in the last two Redball games, Itanda has been dominant with the toss winning and it happened to be the same as they chose to bat first against Busowoko in the final match.

Despite the pair of Kawanguzi Timothy and Jimson Wankona facing a couple of balls after opening for Itanda batting, the partnership didn’t yield any better fruits to give the team a much needed start.

Wankona Jimson later partnered up with Oloka Pius as each pulled off a half century of 53 runs off 162 balls and 69 runs off 217 balls respectively before Kitamirike Marvin added his efforts of 24 runs off 110 balls to help Itanda reach 175/4 in 90 overs on the first day of the match.

Mugumira Lenox, Agaba Eddie, Igulu Cyprus and Bagaga Hassan combined their efforts as each picked one wicket on day one of the match.

Action resumes on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 with Itanda batting against Busowoko on day two of the match.
