South Sudan’s basketball supporters will travel to Tunisia with Senior Presidential Advisor Kuol Manyang Juuk and Youth and Sports Minister Albino Bol Dhieu.

South Sudan will face Egypt, Senegal, and the DRC in Group F of the African Basketball 2023 World Cup qualifiers on August 26, 27, and 28.

In order to inspire the top-ranked African basketball team as it approaches qualifying for the FIBA World Cup for the first time in its history, Juuk will be joined by more than 50 national supporters.

In order to charter a direct flight from Juba to Monastir, Tunisia, where the third window of FIBA World Cup qualifiers would be contested, the supporters have contributed their own money.

According to Dr. Bol, the Bright Stars are now in Tunisia getting ready for their friendly game against Senegal tomorrow.

He made an appeal to the home fans to encourage the players in their effort to qualify for the FIBA World Cup.

With a spotless record thus far in Group F, South Sudan is now in the first place and has a good chance of moving on.

Both South Sudan and Cote d’Ivoire have never lost, thus they could share that honor in Africa’s FIBA World Cup qualifying games.

To ensure that each game received equal weight, the qualifiers’ first-round results were typically carried over to the second round.

The top two teams from each group and the best third-place team in Africa will punch their tickets.

Contrary to other areas, several African nations still have time to secure a place at the 2023 World Cup in Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

South Sudan will compete across three game days in Group F.

For instance, Senegal will play South Sudan on Friday, August 26, 2022, while their group rivals, DR Congo, will play Cameroon, and Egypt will play the African Champions in Tunisia.

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, South Sudan will take on fellow East African nation DR Congo, Cameroon will face Egypt, and Tunisia will take on Senegal.

Additionally, on August 28, 2022, Senegal will face Cameroon, Tunisia will play DR Congo, and Egypt will play South Sudan.
