Bright Stars FC  was today up against KCCA FC in the only remaining game of game week 21 at the Omondi stadium in Lugogo, Kampala. And as we all expected KCCA dominated the first opening stages of the game with the highest possession, they did little going forward to cause Bright Stars any threat in their final area. Samuel Ssekamatte and second half substitute Joseph Akandanahwo scored for Bright Stars to condemn KCCA FC to a 2 – 0 defeat in the league today.

Despite KCCA dominance in the game, Bright Stars FC executed their tactical master plan efficiently to deny the Kasasiro boys a win in this fixture, in what many bookmakers predicted to be a routine win for Morley Byekwaso’s side.

Bright Stars had the first real chance of the game when Joseph Marvin’s shot hugged the crossbar following build up play with Methodious Jjungu. But in the 68th minute, Samuel Ssekamatte scored to put his team 1 – 0 ahead, before Joseph Akandanahwo announced his presence on the pitch with a goal after coming on as a substitute to make it 2 – 0.

Bright Stars then managed to defend all KCCA threats to register their win against the Kaasiro boys. They moved to 6th position on the league ahead of UPDF and SC Villa who have all been very inconsistent this season.

Whereas KCCA remains on the 4th position on 37 points and a head of Police FC with a superior goal difference, but clearly today was a bad day in office for the KCCA boys.
