UPDF hosted the Kasasiro boys today at Bombo Stadium looking to come back to winning ways after going winless in 5 games. And KCCA, looking to build on their 2:0 win against Kyetume FC in Mukono over the weekend came up against the saints today hoping for another win. But to the dismay of the fans, it was a closed contest that ended goalless between the two sides in Bombo today.
KCCA exerted themselves in the game, by attacking the UPDF defense all day but all their attacking threats were neutralized by the good and organized defensive setup that the UPDF implemented in the game. As a result, the first period of the game ended 0:0 with both sides going into half time break with nothing like a score reading on the scoreboard.
In the second half, it was the same outcome as they kept going at each other with no attacking qualities portrayed by both sides in that period too. KCCA came close to scoring a few times in the game but thanks to UPDF’s good defensive attributes, the second half also ended goalless at Bombo. The two teams shared a foil and KCCA maintained 4th position in the league on 42 points, and only 1 above Bright Stars who occupy 5th position with 41 points.
UPDF also remained in the 7th position in the league after this draw and they could even drop more when they play URA in game week 26 if they lose that game.
