The best performing schools in Uganda sports at the USSSA Ball Games 2

The Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) Netball competitions concluded at Dr. Obote Boroboro Secondary School on 21st of August 2022.

There were other USSSA sports disciplines that were competed for in Lira City.

These include Basketball, Rugby, Wood ball, Volleyball, Handball, Football, Athletics and Dance sport.

In the Netball Competitions at the USSSA Ball Games II in Lira City, St. Mary’s Kitende marginally defeated their rival St. Noa Girls’ by only a one goal difference as it ended 18-17 goals to clinch a Trophy. 

St. Noa Girls Zzana Settled for silver having been defeated by the queens, St. Mary’s Kitende 18-17 who took gold. While Buddo Secondary School settled for bronze after having beaten Mukono S.S at the semi-finals.

Uganda’s best Netball playing Schools include the record Champions St. Mary’s Kitende, St. Noa Girls, Buddo S.S, Madina Islamic, Kawanda S.S, Ngando S.S, Baptist High, Mukono St. Joseph Bakita, St. Andrea Kaahwa’s College and Kibuli Secondary School.

In the Rugby sport, Mbale’s Nkoma Secondary School, Hana International St. Katherine and Ntare School.

Kawanda Secondary, Kibuli Secondary, Mbogo High, Dynamic Secondary, Gombe Secondary and Kakungulu Memorial High School are the best Handball stars.

Volleyball giants include; St. Elizabeth Secondary, Trust High, Kinawa High, Standard High Zzana, Kiruhura’s Buremba Secondary, and Namugongo Secondary & Vocational School.

Football sport giants include Kawempe Muslim, Standard High, Jinja Secondary, Buddo Secondary and Bon Consili Vocational school.

Basketball champions include the on form School St. Mary’s Kitende, Buddo S.S, Nabisunsa girls, Janan and Hope Billa Secondary School.

Meanwhile, the Athletics discipline was dominated by Gulu, Wakiso, Kween and Kitgum District.

Lira Secondary, Entebbe’s Air Force Secondary, Our Lady of Africa, Kijjabwemi Secondary and Mengo Secondary School are the wood ball champions.

The recently introduced Dance Sport has two best schools at it, that’s to say; St. Andrew Kaggwa (Gombe High School) and Kazo Secondary School.

The USSA Ball games II climaxed with awards on Sunday the 21st at Dr. Obote Boroboro Secondary School in Lira, Northern part of Uganda.
