Sulaiman Mutyaba finally released on police bond

Former Cranes and TP Mazembe midfielder Sulaiman Mutyaba was released on Saturday on police bond after staying in police custody for more than 24 hours.

Mutyaba who was arrested by Police for mobilizing a peaceful demonstration at FUFA complex in Mengo will now report back on Monday 12th April 2021.

Immediately after the release, Mutyaba was quick to thank everyone who stood with him at all times using his facebook account.

A video went viral last week showing Mutyaba in tears holding a banner written on “Magogo must resign”. The video later went ahead to show a security guard beating up Mutyaba with what looked like a metallic rod. The guard went ahead to threaten him with shooting but he was stopped by officials not to do so
