Just like the Luganda saying that translates, “you have come out empty handed like someone who burns a snake”. It was no difference after Cricket Cranes lost all the series games against Namibia’s Eagles. The Cranes lost the last game of the series by 162 runs.

The Eagles won the toss and elected to bat first. It was no surprise when the Cranes needed 353 runs from 49.2 overs to win after the Eagles had put up a score of 354/9 in the first innings.

Namibia’s opening batsman Stephen Baard was the man of the match in the final 50 over game. His team mate Ruben Trumpelmann was voted the best bowler of the series with 7 wickets.

The Cricket Cranes had a consolation to take home with Ronak Patel taking the title of the best batsman of the series.

Final Score

Namibia 354/9 (50)

Uganda 192/9 (44.5)
