The 97th FUFA Ordinary Assembly to be held in Eastern Region at Wash and Wills Hotel, Mbale City

The Ordinary FUFA General Assembly is the Supreme and legislative body of football in Uganda and comprises 34 member associations that are represented by 88 delegates.

The Assembly takes place annually where delegates come together and review activities for the previous year and also plan for the future.

The Federation of Uganda Football Association has recently issued a notice to all FUFA Delegates and stakeholders for the Assembly to be held in Mbale on Saturday 21st 2021 starting at 9:00am.

This was confirmed by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson.

The Notice also indicates that the agenda of the Assembly includes election of the FUFA President and the Executive Committee members for the next term of four years.

The FUFA Presidential candidates who will be waiting for the results from the elections to be conducted in the Assembly include; the current FUFA President Eng. Hon. Moses Magogo, Katwe United FC Director Allan Ssewanyana, and the EX-Uganda Cranes player and Director Proline FC Mujib Kasule.

The Assembly is hosted on a rotational basis where each of the 8 regions of FUFA are given an opportunity to host based on the decision made by the FUFA Executive Committee.

The regions that have hosted the Ordinary General Assembly since 2013 include; Eastern (Jinja-2013), Northern (Lira-2014), North East (Soroti-2015), Buganda (Luweero-2016), Kitara (Masindi-2017), Western (Kabale-2018), West Nile (Adjumani-2019), Kampala Region FA (Nakawa DFA-2020) and the next will going to Eastern Region FA (Mbale DFA-2021).

The Ordinary Members of FUFA Include; The 16 FUFA Super League Clubs, The FUFA Big League, The FUFA Women National Leagues, The 8 Regional Associations, The Uganda Football Players Association, The Uganda Women Football Association, The Uganda Football Coaches Association, The Uganda Football Referees Association, The Uganda Beach-Soccer Association, The Uganda Schools Football Association, The Uganda Youth Football Association, The Futsal Association of Uganda.
