With COVID-19 still a stumbling block to all sports in the country, the Uganda Premier League fixtures for game week 27 will kick off tomorrow as initially planned but will be under strict SOPs guidelines set by the Ministry of Health. The league went into recess after game week 26, in order to accommodate the Uganda Cup quarter final matches and also the national team preparation for their friendly against Bafana Bafana
The Uganda Premier League secretariat confirmed the resumption of the Uganda Super League yesterday through an email to all the clubs. With only four rounds left to play, the Uganda Premier League will return on Tuesday June 15th with three fixtures on card. MYDA FC will welcome Bul FC, Police FC will play host Bright Stars FC.
Whereas resilient Mbarara City will host relegation candidate Kyetume FC on the 16th.June 2021 in an only fixture that will be played on Wednesday.
On Friday, there will be two fixtures on card, which will see UPDF FC host SC Villa at the Bombo Stadium, and another classy encounter will be between relegated Kitara FC at home against KCCA.
On Saturday, second placed team, URA, will go away to Busoga United in a must win encounter and third place Vipers FC will be at home to Onduparaka who have just sacked their manager
The biggest clash of game week 27 will see Eric Kambale’s Express FC pay a visit to on form Wakiso Giants on Sunday 20th, June 2021.
