Spanish cyclist Cristian Rodriguez from team Total Direct Energie was declared the 2021 Tour de Rwanda after clocking 22 hours.49.51 with Ugandan cyclist Charles Kagimu finishing in the 26th position after clocking 22 hours.05.55.
His Bike Aid team mates Van Engelen from Netherlands and Bergstrom Frisk Erik from Sweden ranked 12th and 13th respectively.
Charles Kagimu completed the Tour de Rwanda on a high, finishing 9th in the overall stage 8 classification. Charles was making his debut at the Tour de Rwanda.
Under the final classification of the best African riders after stage 8, the Bike Aid rider finished in 7th position, 3 places higher than his teammate Salim Kipkeboi of Kenya who finished 10th after clocking 23 hours.09.35 in the African Category.
Eritrea’s Zerai Nahom finished 1st in the final classification of the best African riders after stage 8 with a completion time of 22 hours.51.28.
In the best young general classification, Charles Kagimu finished 8th while his Bike Aid team mate Bergstrom Frisk Erik from Sweden finished 3rd and Salim Kikeboi ranked 11th.
