Hassan Jurua, a former KCCA FC defender, has joined Arua Hill Sports Club.
A video shared on their official Facebook page on Saturday provided confirmation of this.
The 22-year-old was dismissed by the Lugogo-based team a few weeks ago due to a contract violation, and he now joins the Arua team as a free agent.
In addition to playing right back, Jurua is equally adept at playing wing back and center back.
Jurua is the younger brother of Vipers SC defender Bashir Asiku and a graduate of the KCCA soccer academy.
He becomes the first acquisition for Kongolo during the January transfer window.
At the conclusion of the first round, Arua Hill SC is now sixth in the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League standings with 23 points from 14 games.
The second round of Uganda Premier League will begin on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Phillip Omondi Stadium against Jurua’s previous team, KCCA FC.
