The game played today at Mbale Municipal Stadium between Mbale Heroes FC and Proline Fc was the second leg of the Uganda Cup last 16 after a 2-1 win by Proline at Omondi Stadium in Kampala 4 days ago, thanks to goals from Bunjo Nordin and Savio Kabugo which helped Proline FC to play with confidence in today’s game.

The game was played behind closed doors as the fans were denied access to the stadium in compliance to the FUFA directives following the incident on April 11th, 2021 in a game where the fans entered the stadium after a penalty shoot out of the Uganda Cup round of 32 second leg where Mbale Heroes beat Gaddafi FC 4-2 after a 1-1 aggregate score.

Proline FC was in an early lead at half time through Sendi Ibrahim and his lone goal was the difference as the final whistle of the half was blown.

At the start of second leg Proline FC was one man down as Kugonza Norman was sent off for a second yellow card.

Despite being one man down Proline FC had to hold onto the game to secure their slot in the last 8 and the final whistle was blown with Proline FC leading by 3-1 on aggregate.
