Morley Byekwaso’s side KCCA today travelled to Mbarara to face Big League side Nyamityobora after beating them 4:2 in the first leg at the Philip Omondi stadium, Lugogo Kampala.
With a 2 goals difference registered in the first leg, the Kampala based side started the game with an added advantage under their belt. Nyamityobora in their home ground proved to be very defensively strong, frustrating the men from Kampala all day long. But after almost a full 90 minutes of the match, KCCA nicked the only goal in the 90 minutes to end the two leg tie on a 5:2 aggregate.
They now join the pool of teams waiting for a draw for the round of 16 to determine their next opponent in this year’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup Competition.
Other results also in the Uganda Cup today also saw Tooro FC beating Kataka by 2:1, and Wakiso Giants beating Water by 3 goals to 1.
