In another turnaround of events, we saw Bright Stars FC thump Paidha Black Angels 3:1 to progress to the 2021 Uganda Cup round of 16 stage.

The West Nile based FUFA Big League entity Paidha Black Angels travelled to Kavumba Recreational Center today carrying a 1:0 first leg advantage they registered at home in Zombo.

But the Soltilo stars were not going to be intimidated by the 1:0 advantage that the visitors had coming to this game. And it was Captain Sulaiman Ssebunza Ssekagya who scored to give his side the lead in 26 minutes through a well taken penalty.

Striker Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte then doubled the home advantage just before the half time whistle making it 2:0 in favor of Bright Stars.

With much more still left to play for in the second half, the match was very tight with both teams closing up tight to deny each other another goal. But it was Samuel Ssekamatte who got his second of the evening to make 3:0 for his team.

Finally when it was looking as if the game was done and dusted, Paidha Black Angels pulled one back to keep the score line 3:1 at full time whistle. With this result, Bright Stars FC thus progressed to the round of 16 with a 3-2 aggregate score-line.
