BUL FC will face the reigning champions in the second leg of the Uganda Cup quarter-finals at Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe, Jinja City.

In the first leg at the Omondi Stadium in Kampala, BUL FC overcame Proline FC by 2-0 thanks to Vitalis Tabu and Semujju who scored the goals.

The game will be played tomorrow Monday 31st May 2021 where BUL FC will be coming with a two away goals advantage.

BUL FC plays in the Uganda Premier League which is the top tier League while Proline FC is playing in the second tier of the FUFA Big League.

BUL FC defeated Kigezi HomeBoys FC in the last 16 while Proline FC defeated Mbale Heroes FC on a 3-1 aggregate score to qualify for the quarter-final.

After both sides advanced to the Uganda Cup quarter-finals it will be interesting to see if either side shows signs of fatigue from their respective endeavours. Managing league and cup matches after every two days has proved to be a huge burden most especially to teams with narrow squads

BUL’s hard-fought and emotional comeback from a goal down in Kabale have the more likely chance of producing a raise as Alex Isabirye’s men finally got over the hump of previous failures in the round of 16. It was a regional team, Mvara Boys that knocked them out of this very competition last season.

One-time Uganda Cup winner Denis Okot Oola will be frantic for a start to show he is a true character for any winning team we wish to see.

Team news

According to the BUL FC website, Alex Isabirye is lucky enough given the fact that he still has no fresh injuries apart from the usual duo in Ambrose Kirya and Tibita Hamis both with knee discomfort.

Defender Kenneth Ssemakula is away for national team engagements, The Uganda Cranes sweeper is likely to miss out on tomorrow’s encounter.

“We have been working hard on the winning mentality and now that we have started winning, we also want to get clean sheets as well. Yes, our defender Ssemakula did not train with the team today he’s with the national team but am yet to establish if he can be available for tomorrow but if it fails, we have enough replacements in here.” Alex Isabirye Head Coach BUL FC said.
