Latest FIFA world rankings indicate that Uganda has dropped by one position from 83rd to 84th in the world while the nation is ranked 17th in Africa.
This comes as no surprise after the Cranes drew at home to Burkina Faso and lost to Malawi in the penultimate game that saw the Cranes miss out a place in the 2020 AFCON to be held early next year.
The Cranes received 1286.76 points which is less from the previous month’s 1301.
Burkina Faso dropped two places to 60th in the world while Malawi moved 8 places to 115th in the world after the two wins against South Sudan and Uganda.
The Cranes’ next opponent in the FIFA world cup qualifiers Kenya climbed two places to 102nd in the world while Rwanda climbed 4 places to 129.Mali is the highest ranked team in the group though they dropped 3 places to 57th position. Senegal is the highest ranked team in Africa at 22nd position.
