A team of 18 netballers comprising both youth and senior players of the She Cranes has been selected to represent Uganda in a three-test-series against South Africa. The team will be departing to Cape Town on 19th March to face off with the SPAR Proteas.
While the She Cranes aim to avoid dropping places in the world rankings by at least recording international encounters in its books, the South Africans have bigger ambitions. The SPAR Proteas are looking to improve fitness before the start of the Netball World Cup.
The South Africa U-21, the Namibian national team and a select team of South African Netball president Cecilia Molokwane’s XII are the other netball squads that will feature in a tournament that will take place between March 24th and 31st 2021.
A pre training camp has also been arranged for the teams to meet between the 19th and 23rd of March 2021 under strict health and safety regulations.
