UPDF have conceded an average of 1.0 goals per game, keeping 7 clean sheets this season. This is a good sign entering the second half of the season and I reckon the military men will remain in the league come next season.

After being promoted to the UPL this season, UPDF has been that boggy side for the big teams with SC Villa, Express, Mbarara and Police suffering losses at the hands of the UPDF in the first rounds. Police FC has however had its revenge already after winning the derby of the armed forces by 3 : 0.

The key highlight for the army boys was a 1-5 away win against newcomers Kitara in their second game of the season where the club’s leading scorer Brian Kalumba with 7 goals already this season, scoring four goals in that game. Their most humiliating moments came in a 6-1 loss to Mike Mutebi’s side KCCA on 5th March, 2021.

UPDF needs to improve their away record where they have only collected 34% of points from the games with the highest number of goals conceded also coming from away from home.Final Report Comment: Having begun the season brightly with 3 consecutive wins, things have not gone so well for UPDF. However, given all they have to play for now is getting as many points as possible, staying up in their first season of being back in the UPL should be satisfactory. Ugsports.net predicts a top half finish for UPDF.
