Uganda Police FC get the best of their armed counterpart, UPDF FC, with a 3 : 0 win in the UPL

It was a battle between the two armed forces in the UPL today as we saw Uganda People’s Defence Forces Football Club visit Uganda Police Football Club. 

Police FC were looking to continue with their impressive form after the start of the second half of the season by bagging yet another 3 points today against the UPDF, after beating Keytume away 3 : 0 on match day 16 of the UPL.

The home team were given an early advantage by Frank Zaga Tumwesigye in the 23rd minute who scored to make it 1 : 0.

It was then Derrick Kakooza who made it 2 : 0 with only 6 minutes to the halftime whistle.

Second half started with the Police FC still looking a better side than their military counterpart, and in the 62rd minute, Derrick Kakooza scored the third goal to complete his brace for the day.

Police FC, with this well-deserved win moved to the 4th position on the 16 table.

UPDF FC on the other hand, with two consecutive defeats ever since the start of the second half of the season, sits on the 7th position.
