In preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, Uganda Rugby 7s will participate in a week long Rugby Africa solidarity camp in South Africa. Uganda awaits qualification to the Olympics with a game in June in Monaco that will make or break their qualification chances.
The camp in South Africa will be hosted in Stellenbosch featuring four teams; South Africa,Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe.
The squad will depart on Thursday 6th May 2021 and the squad will be announced on Monday 3rd May 2021 from a group of sixteen who are already in camp. Some of the players joining those who featured in Dubai sevens include Timothy Kisiga, Kelvin Balagadde and James Odongo.
