Head coach: Mohammed Athio.

Heathens are the current champions of the Uganda Rugby Union League.

Despite multiple changes in leadership and players transfers, Heathens still remain the team to beat in the league.

This season will however be harder for them given the great improvement by their title rivals Kobs and Pirates.

Words of the coach: “We have no strategy as usual, as we always take one game at a time with no pressure. We have not been given ample time to prepare for this challenge but the majority of the boys have been doing their personal training. It is now about getting everyone together and gelling as a team but I’m sure as the season goes on, the team will get back”

Transfers in: Nobert Okeny from Kobs, Paul Serunjogi and Joseph Bulago. They have also promoted five players from their junior side, the Stallions.

Transfers out: Michael Otto and Robert Masendi to Kobs, Peter Tinashe to Pirates,  Abdulshakur Kiyimba to Buffalos.

Setbacks: Michael Wokorach, club captain and Aaron Ofoywroth who are expected to be part of the national sevens team will not be available for the 15 time record champions.

Heathens play Pirates at Kyadondo Rugby grounds in their opening fixture at 4:00 pm on Saturday 6th March 2021.
