Uganda was ecstatic after shocking Germany to win the Bowl final at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town on Sunday.
It was revealed that the Ugandan team closed the tournament on a high by defeating a highly regarded German team.
The Ugandan squad and their traveling group of supporters had won the hearts of local fans with their fervor.
They outscored the Germans three tries to two, with Captain Philip Wokorach scoring the game’s first try before being joined on the scoreboard by Ian Munyani and his brother Michael.
Since all teams compete until the very last day to decide placings, the bowl essentially occupies place 17 in the World Cup.
