Ugandan Internationals: Onyango and Bayo continue to flourish in their clubs

Cranes first choice goalkeeper Denis Onyango conceded an 82nd minute equalizer but his side Mamelodi Sundowns scored again in the 90th minute to win 1-2 away to Joseph Ochaya’s TP Mazembe in the CAF champions league. Both players featured in the full 90 minutes for their respective teams in a match that saw Ochaya register an assist for TP Mazembe’s only goal.

Taddeo Lwanga played a full 90 minutes in the CAF Champions League for Simba as his team was held to a goalless away draw to Sudan’s Al-Merreikh in a match that saw Taddeo Yellow carded.

Crane’s goalkeeper Robert Ondonkara was an unused substitute as his side Horoya lost 2-0 away to Wydad Casablanca in the CAF champions league.

Kizito Luwaga Played for 78 minutes as his side Hapoel Kfar Saba was held to a goalless draw at home to Hapoel Haifa.

Uche Mubiru Ikpeazu played for 80 minutes for Wycombe as they lost 2-0 to Stoke city.

Elvis Bwomono was a 73rd substitute for Southend’s goalless draw with Oldham


Midfielder Moses Opondo was substituted in the 69th minute as his side Odense lost 2-0 to Vejle in the Danish Superliga.

Ronald Mukiibi played a full 90 minutes as his side Ostersunds won 0-1 away to Mjallby in the Swedish cup.


A poor refereeing decision denied Fahad Bayo a second goal of the match and in the dying minutes as Ashdod were held 1-1 at home against Hapoel Hadera. Bayo came on for Torial in the 46th minute to score an 85th minute equaliser before his header in the 90th minute being not to have crossed the line.  Timothy Awanyi missed on the team sheet for the second consecutive game.

Farouk Miya was unused substitute as his side Konyaspor lost 0-3 at home to Mesut Ozil’s Fenerbahce.
