Ugandans Abroad: Isma Watenga’s Chippa United for relegation playoff

Isma Watenga failed to keep a clean sheet as Chippa United were held to  a one all draw by Moses Waiswa’s Supersport United. The result meant that Chippa United finished the season second from the bottom in the league and will be required to play a relegation play off game to know their fate in the league 

Watenga kept five clean sheets in the nine matches he played during the 2020/2021 season

The other Ugandan in the game, Moses Waiswa was a substitute in the 73rd minute for South African Thamsanqa Gabuza. His team, Supersport United finished fifth this season.

Denis Onyango was not included in the match day squad as champions Mamelodi Sundowns finished the season on a high with a 3-0 win against Cape Town City. Onyango ended the season with the highest number of clean sheets. He kept 15 clean sheets across 25 league matches.

Alexis Bakka played for 81 minutes as UMEA Fc won 1-0 away at Hudiksvalls. The win moved UMEA to 3rd on the table with 20 points after round 10 of matches. This was the third consecutive match where the Ugandan attacker has failed to score. He last scored for UMEA in a 2-0 win against Sylvia.
