Ugandans Abroad: Patrick Kaddu suspended as Alexis Bakka is set to continue scoring goals.

Most of the international leagues have ended with focus on continental football like the Euros. UGsports brings you the latest on Ugandans who will be playing in the leagues that are still ongoing.

Friday

Allan Kyambadde will be hoping to be recalled to first team action when El Gouna travel to Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League. Kyambadde last appeared for El Gouna on 10th May, 2021 when he came on as a second half substitute for Mohamed Habib Yeken in a 1-1 home draw against Aswan SC in the Egyptian Premier League. His absence has stretched to four consecutive league matches.

Alexis Bbakka will be hoping to pick up from where he stopped when Umea FC play host to IFK Lulea in the Swedish division 1 Nora. Alexis scored the winning goal for Umea last weekend in the 2-1 away win against Orebro. The win moved Umea to level on points with 2nd placed Sandvikens

Both Nicholas Wadada and goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya will be in contention to start for Azam as they host Gwambina in the Tanzanian Ligi Kuu Bara. Kigonya was part of the Uganda Cranes team which travelled to South Africa for the international friendly.

Saturday

Allan Okello will need to put his national team woes behind and push for a starting position when Paradou travels to CR Belouizdad in the Algerian Ligue 1. Paradou are winless in the last 3 league matches.

Tadeo Lwanga’s Simba travel to Polisi Tanzania expecting to maintain their lead at the Ligi Kuu Bara. Simba are three points clear of second placed young Africans with three games in hand.

Sunday

Goalkeeper Robert Odongokara will be available for selection when table leaders Horoya travel to seventh placed Fello Star in the Guinea League 1.

Patrick Kaddu will not be available for selection when Youssoufia Berrechid hosts FUS Rabat in the Morocco Botola Pro.  The Ugandan forward will be serving a suspension after receiving a red card in the last league meeting where Youssoufia Berrechid held Berkane to a 1-1 draw. This was Kaddu’s second game after a long lay off on the sidelines.

Ismael Watenga will need to be at his best for Chippa United when they play Royal AM in the South African Premier League relegation group.

Edward Kizza will be available for selection when New England Revolution travel to New York City in the MLS. The New England Revolution lead the Eastern Conference table with 17 points.
