All is set for the star-studded Istanbul half Marathon today with Uganda’s Stephan Kissa among the participants for the events that will bring the cream out of both the reigning and former half marathon record winners.
The Istanbul half marathon is traditionally held during the first Sunday of April every year but last year it was held in September under harsh COVID-19 restrictions. The event is set to have a limited number of 4000 participants.
Kissa, who made his debut in the half marathon last year finished the year with a time of 58.56.
Kissa will come up against the 2018 Istanbul half marathon record-holder Amedework Walelegn from Ethiopia and Kenya’s duo of Geoffrey Kamworor and reigning world half marathon recorder runner Kibiwott Kandie.
