The Uganda People Defense forces football club hosted relegation stricken Kitara FC yesterday in Game week 20 of the Uganda premier league. After losing to Bul FC during midweek, the army men knew what they had to do to take all the maximum points in this game.

Unlike last week against Bul FC where they surrendered their 2 : 1 lead in the first half to lose the match 4 : 3 at full time whistle, UPDF today managed to hold on to their 2 : 0 lead cultivated in the first 45 minutes of the game. Goals from Brian Kayanja in the 3rd minute and Charles Ssebutinde in the 38th minute were enough to salvage 3 points for the army men this time.

Nathan Oloro converted a penalty in the 68th minute to give his team Kitara FC a fighting chance in the game but the UPDF managed to see off the game with some good defensive blocks to finish the day 2 : 1 winners. They moved to 6th position on 31 points, whereas their opponent Kitara FC top the table from the bottom after winning only 1 game this season.
