With SC Villa desperate to return back to winning ways, they hosted Kyetume FC who have not been able to find their way out of the relegation zone this season, and today they needed to pick the maximum points to boost their survival chances.

After breaking the heart of title chasing URA, Kyetume today was hoping for the same outcome against SC Villa eager to pick up yet another three points to keep their survival hopes alive. But it wasn’t as they expected today as they met the wounded SC Villa team that were looking to bounce back to winning ways. During the first period, the Jogoos got the first goal early in the 23rd minute through Muhammad Ssenoga to go up, and defended well to keep the score line at 1:0 going into halftime.

After the halftime break, play returned in the second half between the two sides, with Villa closing all the gaps in their defense to avoid surrendering their lead in the game. Kyetume boys gave it their all in the second half to try and get something out of this game but SC Villa equally defended well to keep the score line at 1:0 at the sound of the full time whistle in Bombo.

The Slaughters after this defeat still maintain their 14th position on the table with 23 points, three behind Busoga United who occupy the 13th position. A win against the Jogoos would have lifted them above Busoga United who don’t play until Sunday at KCCA.
