Busoga United today hosted defending champion Vipers FC in the first leg of the Uganda cup round of 32. The team from Jinja was looking to build on their 2 : 0 win against Onduparaka in the Uganda premier league on the opening day of matchday 16 for the 2020/2021 season.

But it wasn’t to be easy as Vipers at home overcame them by 3 goals to nil to gain the first league advantage.

A brace from Cesar Manzoni and another goal from Ibrahim were enough at St. Mary’s Stadium to grant Vipers the much-needed advantage going into the second leg that will be played on Friday, 9th April 2021 at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Busoga united will need more than just luck to turn around the 3:0 scoreline if they have any hope of progressing to the next round.

Whereas Vipers FC will be comfortable with even only a draw this coming Friday as they play the return leg.

It will even be more interesting as Vipers SC will again have to host the boys from Busoga in the second of their meeting in the UPL. These two will surely get enough of each other this fortnight.
