At St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende today all eyes were on Vipers FC, as they were looking for the maximum 3 points to displace URA from the top of the Uganda Premier League.
The home boys meant business right from the start, as Dan Muzeyi Sserunkuma needed only 9 minutes to put his side ahead. Two minutes later, Yunus Sentamu doubled Vipers lead with a superb goal.
SC Villa was having a bad day, as they were reduced to 10 Men in the 79th minute with Joseph Nsubuga shown a straight red card, and only for Paul Willa to make it 3:0 for the home team.
This result means Vipers FC reclaimed top position on the league table, drawn level on the same point with URA with a goal difference of +19 separating the two sides.
