Volleyball: Gulu College of Health Sciences cruise through Hoima and Kyetume |National Health Institutions games

The 2022 National Health Institutions games got underway 28th of August at Fort portal college of health sciences in Fort Portal City in western Uganda.

The ball games started on 31st August including volleyball with 30 teams in the boy’s category and 29 teams in the girl’s category and will conclude on 4th September.

With a stunning performance and dominance in both the boy’s and girl’s divisions, Gulu College of Health Sciences set the tone in the tournament’s pool plays.

For the boy’s and girl’s categories, the Acholi region giants are in groups C and D, respectively.

In the boy’s category, Gulu College of Health Sciences thrashed Kyetume 2-0 after thrashing another western giant Hoima 2-0 in their opening match.

Additionally, Ishaka defeated Arua School of Nursing 2-0, Florence Nightingale defeated Jinja Nursing School 2-1, and the hosts and defending champions Fort Portal defeated Ishaka 2-1.

There were some games in the girl’s category as well. 

The defending champions Jinja Nursing School defeated Masaka School of Nursing 2-1, while Gulu College of Health Sciences  put on yet another outstanding performance by defeating Arua Nursing 2-0 and cruising past Florence Nightingale with a 2-0 victory. 

Day two will feature more Pool games.
