Standard High Zana joins St Elizabeth girls in winning the 2022 USSSA Ball Games II volleyball championship.
This means Wakiso and Ankole regions are the champions of this year’s tournament.
St Elizabeth crushed the defending champions Trust High school, in the finals with a score of 3-1 (25:21, 25:22, 23:25, 25:17).
In the bronze game boys, Buremba defeated St Augustine in a straight 2-0 win.
And Kinaawa stormed Katikamu SDA 3-0 for third place finish (bronze medal) in girls’ category.
Unfortunately, it was a challenging championship for Eastern region teams and so disappointing that no school from the East made it to the quarterfinals in the volleyball championship.
The top three schools in each gender are to represent Uganda at the FEASSSA Games in Arusha, Tanzania, in 2022.
The tournament started off with 42 teams in the boys’ category and 36 teams in the girls’ category.
