With the relegation fight beginning to bite, Wakiso Giants today hosted Police FC in what was a must win encounter at the Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso. It was going to be a difficult encounter given Police FC recent run of form, but if you ask me not every day is Saturday. Joshua Lubwama converted an early first half penalty in the 18th minute to put his side 1 : 0 up going into the half time break.

The second half then started with all still left to play for, only for Police FC to concede yet another penalty in the 52nd minute, with Joshua Lubwama looking to pounce on them again with another brilliant training ground penalty taking skill to extend their lead to 2 : 0. The inform Viane Ssekajugo then made it 3 : 0 for the home side in the 63rd minute, before Herman Wasswa pulled one back for the Men in Uniform to make it 3 : 1 at full time whistle.Despite this comfortable home win, Wakiso Giants still remain in position 13th in the league on 23 points, and only 4 points above Kyetume FC who occupy the 14th place on 19 points. Police FC also kept their place in 5th position on 37 points same as KCCA FC who have a superior goal difference.
