Wakiso Giants were among the big winners for today’s round of 16 ties in the Uganda cup. The Men from Wakiso District hosted Tooro United in the first leg of this year’s round of 16 Uganda cup tie and they started declaring their intent in the game by exerting their authority as early as the 11th minute with a goal that opened the way for 5 more in the match.

Wakiso Giants got the better of Tooro United in both halves and a goal from Frank Ssebuufu, a brace from Ivan Bogere , and one a piece from Viane Sekajugo and Rahmat Ssenfuka , were enough to help Wakiso Giants run riot against Tooro United today.  Striker Marvin Oshaba got a consolation goal for Tooro United in the 57th minute to give his team an away goal but the significance of that goal remains to be seen, tha is if they can beat Wakiso Giants 4 without reply at Wakiso Giants’ home come next week.

This score line from the mathematical point of things seems like it has ended the tie already in favor of Wakiso Giants, but only a 4-0 win is the minimum result Tooro United need to qualify for the quarter final of this competition.
