Wananchi SC, Deliverance CH top Uganda Hockey League tables

The Uganda Hockey League,2022 season is underway with unexpected performances from various teams both in the men’s and women’s categories.

After game week 17, Wanachi HC tops the men’s league table with 28 points thanks to their goal difference of 62 from 10 games.

 Kampala HC is 2^nd with 28 points same as the league leaders but has played 12. 

MUBS is bottom of the table with zero points from 12 encounters.

Defending champions Weatherhead are third in the table having accumulated 25 points from 12 matches.

In the women’s division, Deliverance CH tops the table with 25 points from 9 games.

Wananchi is 2^nd in the table with 22 points though with a bigger goal difference of 55 from 9 games and Wananchi -HDF is bottom of the table with just 1 point from 7 points and -36 goals.

Weatherhead’s Thomas Opio leads the scoreboard for men’s league with 15 goals followed by Kampala H. C’s Richard Ssemwogerere and Wananchi’s Shafik Byamukama, both tied at 13 goals.

On the other hand, Wananchi’s striker Doreen Mbabazi leads the women’s side with 20 goals. She is followed by Lucky Akello of Deliverance CH and Sandra Namusoke with 9 and 8 goals respectively.
