Hamza Rajput and Ueticaria Kothari’s pair was solid at the start of Avengers innings, with each posting 26 runs off 26 balls and 15 runs off 37 balls respectively but once the partnership was lost, the team continued to struggle with putting up a good score.

Artha Ali (27 runs off 59 balls) and Christopher Kidega (26 runs off 45 balls) gave a little push but couldn’t survive Masaba’s bowling as they were limited to 172/9 in 50 overs.

Wanderers cricket club had a slow start in the chase, losing their opening pair of Puwata Ronald and Mandeep Singh Mangat in the opening overs but their replacements were ready to get the works done.

Abu Seguya and Brian Masaba partnership was solid in the chase as they repaired the wounded parts laying down a good foundation that saw each post 46 runs off 63 balls and 52 runs off 70 balls respectively.

Former skipper of the National men’s cricket team, Davis Karashani took full responsibility of the game as he batted not out, with a 38 run score from 54 balls to help Wanderers cricket club go past Avengers cricket club to seal a fourth win of the season in 39 overs.

Brain Masaba’s all round top notch performance helped Wanderers cricket club to not only limit Avengers cricket club to a small score (6/16)  but also he was able to stabilise the rapid fall of wickets as he paired up with Abu Seguya.

The win puts Wanderers cricket club in the second position after with just two points behind leaders Challengers cricket club who lost to Aziz Damani.
