It has been close to two month since Wanderers cricket club last played their league game due its fixture and availability of cricket playing grounds but nevertheless they will back in action with Avengers cricket club at the lakeside oval in Entebbe.
Wanderers cricket club had a perfect start to the league games, registering three consecutive wins against Ceylon Lions CC, SKLPS CC and Africa CC as they looked to be title contenders before they lost to leaders Challengers cricket club.
Wanderers are currently positioned in the third place with 7 points from 5 games while Avengers cricket club have managed to collect four points from four games they have managed to play, making them comfortably sit in the 5th place.
With National team players being available for the selection, Wanderers will be looking at utilizing the services of Frank Nsubuga who has been putting up incredible bowling numbers for Uganda in all the tournaments they have participated in this year and will be a player to watch.
Cricket cranes skipper, Brian Masaba has been away for quite awhile with an injury that he sustained in Zimbabwe during the T20 World Cup qualifiers and could also miss the Avengers clash but former skipper of the cricket cranes, Davis Karashani could do the wonders in today’s fixture.
On the other side, Avengers cricket club is a team that can register a win regardless of who they are facing and will be using the same approach as they battle it out with Wanderers cricket club.
A win for wanderers cricket club will make them go closer to the table leaders provided they don’t pick a win against Aziz Damani cricket club today at Lugogo cricket oval
