If one was looking for a reason why Warriors have no point in the league and lie at the bottom of the table, the reason could be found 15 minutes before kick off of their game against Hippos when they failed to fulfil the official required number of players. They had to risk their captain who was the 24th man prior to the match. And they paid for it when he had to go off at half time because of a possible ankle damage.

In the first minutes of the game,Warriors coach player Gabriel Aredo was yellow carded for foul language and this allowed Maxwell Ebonga to slot through the post and make it 00-03 for the visitors.  Ebonga extended the lead from in front of the post to make it 00-06 for Hippos. By half time, the score was 00-06.

Echoey kicked off the second half and later combined with Jacob Ochem and Maxwell Ebonga to take the score to 00-13. Richard Kinyai beautifully converted for Warriors to cut the deficit to 03-13.  Tawfik Bagalana had a try with Maxwell Ebong put through the posts to make it 03-20.

Two quick yellow cards to Hippos players Jacob Ochem and James Okello for intentional knock down reduced Hippos to 13 men with approximately 5 minutes to the end of the game. This allowed Warriors to fight back into the game when Samuel Odong made it 10-20 for Warriors but perhaps it was a bit too late for the 9 barrels. The game ended 10-20 to the visitors. Hippos managed to seal their place in fourth place in the table while Warriors continued their search for a first win with their position at the bottom of the table not changing.
