Orlando Pirates shines in the 2023/24 season

Following their successful campaign which included securing the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup titles, as well as clinching a spot in the esteemed CAF Champions League after finishing as runners-up in the league, Orlando Pirates continued to make waves with their remarkable achievements at the awards ceremony.

Tito Maswanganyi earns big

Midfielder Tito Maswanganyi emerged as a standout performer of the night, capturing the hearts of his peers and fans alike. While he may have missed out on the main accolade of PSL Footballer of the Season, Maswanganyi was honored with the esteemed DStv Premiership Player’s Player of the Season award – a recognition that holds special significance as it comes from fellow professionals within the industry. Additionally, Maswanganyi claimed the titles of DStv Midfielder of the Season and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament, further solidifying his exceptional contributions to the team.

Most promising and DStv Premiership Young Player

Not far behind in terms of individual accolades was Relebohile Mofokeng, who showcased immense potential and talent throughout the season. In addition, Thabiso Lebitso’s stunning strike in the Soweto Derby clash against rivals Kaizer Chiefs was recognized as the Goal of the Season, further solidifying Orlando Pirates’ exceptional talent and ability on the field.
